Lobbyists in Your Corner

The chamber is the only area business-focused organization with registered lobbyists on staff. As a member, you have access to three staff lobbyists who have critical connections with leaders on the local, state and federal levels. Founded on Business Cooperation

Now, more than 100 years after taking its place as the voice of the region’s business community, your chamber continues to raise the bar each year in an effort to reach a higher level of service and dedication to our vision, our mission, and our members.

The Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce is nationally recognized by its peers as one of the largest and most effective chambers in the U.S. The chamber has been fully accredited by the United States Chamber of Commerce since 1995 and was re-accredited with five stars in 2015. Five star accreditation is the highest rating for any chamber in the nation, a distinction given to less than 1% of all chambers in America.

The Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1907 by John H. Patterson. Patterson, the founder of the National Cash Register Company (NCR), called together area business owners and leaders to form the chamber to help better coordinate the efforts of existing businesses.
