Local Chamber leader elected to industry board

(Dayton, OH­­ – July 18, 2024) – Belinda Matthews Stenson, Vice President at the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce has been elected to serve on the board of directors for ACCE, the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, an Alexandria, Va.-based association of over 9,000 professionals who work for and with more than 1,300 chambers of commerce.

Members of ACCE’s board of directors represent more than 50 organizations, including many of the world’s largest and most influential regional chambers of commerce.

Matthews Stenson has been with the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce since 2012 and is a graduate of Black Leadership Dayton, Leadership Dayton, University of Dayton’s Emerging Leader Program, and Empower. She serves on several boards – Greater Dayton RTA, onMain Advisory Committee, Dayton Arcade New Community Authority Board, Parity, Inc. and Phoenix Next Board.  Belinda is a member of The Links, Incorporated, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated and holds life membership in the Urban League and NAACP. She has been recognized as a YWCA Woman of Influence honoree, Dayton Business Journal Power 50!, Urban League Pillar Award, and numerous diversity, equity and inclusion leadership awards.    

The mission of ACCE is to support and develop chamber professionals to lead businesses and their communities. ACCE identifies and analyzes trends affecting communities, shares best practices, and develops benchmarking studies, in addition to providing other tools to help chamber leaders manage and improve operations at their organization and achieve the highest impact in their communities.
