DAYTON, Ohio (February 22, 2017) – The Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for the 2018 Leadership Dayton class. Formed by the Dayton Area Chamber in 1976, Leadership Dayton is one of the first programs of its kind in the country.
Leadership Dayton is a 10-month commitment, bringing together a diverse network of business leaders already making a mark in their careers. The program identifies, educates and motivates these leaders, increasing their awareness and capacity to serve the Dayton region. Those admitted to the class participate in a variety of retreats to learn the region’s history, available volunteer opportunities and how to better serve Dayton’s communities.
Since Leadership Dayton’s inception, more than 1,350 people have completed the program. Many alumni credit Leadership Dayton with creating special memories and values that helped guide their futures.
This cohort experience unveils new opportunities and resources throughout the community, said Doug Anspach, Partner, Taft, Stettinius and Hollister and Leadership Dayton alumnus. The ability to broaden your network with the region’s top leaders while working together to improve the region is a unique experience.
The program requires a strong commitment from both the applicant and his or her employer. For more information on the program, a look at the 2017-2018 calendars of events, and to apply, go to LeadershipDayton.org.
Applications are due March 31, 2017.
