11th Annual Generation Dayton Day

DAYTON, Ohio. Young professionals throughout the Dayton region are invited to “Get Out & Give Back Dayton” in the community with the 11th Annual “Generation Dayton Day.”

This day of service gives young professional volunteers the opportunity to make a difference at area non-profits including Artemis Center for Alternatives to Domestic Violence, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Carillon Historical Park, Clothes That Work, Community Action Partnership, Crayons to Classrooms, Dakota Center, Daybreak, Dayton Aviation National Heritage Site, Dayton Food Bank, Dayton Visual Arts Center, Downtown Dayton Partnership, East End Community Services, Garden Station, House of Bread, The Victory Project, United Rehabilitation Services, YWCA Dayton and more. Nearly 150 young professionals are expected to take part in this year’s event.

Following an afternoon of service projects, participants will celebrate with an after party, which includes food, drinks, and raffle prizes. Those who are not able to participate in the volunteer activities are welcome to join the after party, which is scheduled to begin at 5:30pm at Trolley Stop in the Oregon District.

The event is open to members and non-members of Generation Dayton, a program of the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce. Generation Dayton is a diverse organization of talented young professionals who live and work in the Dayton region. Generation Dayton helps its members meet, network, learn, grow and establish themselves as integral components in the future success of the Dayton region.

The group aims to grow a strong workforce by keeping talent in the Miami Valley. Events like “Generation Dayton Day” create an environment for young professionals to explore their community and create a sense of home.
