Dayton Area Talent Academy

The What

The Talent Academy is a leadership and workforce training initiative offered by the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce. The Talent Academy enables chambers to deliver practical, employer-relevant training for local businesses and professionals, beginning with essential communication skills that strengthen teamwork, productivity, and professionalism.

Designed for today’s workplace, the Talent Academy helps individuals and organizations build human-centered capabilities that support growth, performance, and long-term success in a rapidly changing economy. This self-paced virtual program is estimated to take around 3-4 hours; includes a series of short videos, quizzes and journaling. After completion, learners will receive a certificate.

The Dayton area Talent Academy is part of a national program led by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) and powered by Pravi.

The Why

The Talent Academy is as much an economic development initiative as it is a leadership program. By strengthening leadership, management capability and organizational effectiveness at the local level, the Talent Academy helps businesses grow, retain talent, and adapt to change—key drivers of long-term regional economic resilience.

Unlike traditional workforce programs that focus primarily on technical skills, the Talent Academy addresses the human and leadership capabilities that determine whether organizations can scale, innovate and remain rooted in their communities.
