Local Company, Tark inc., Relocates to Larger Facility in Miamisburg

DAYTON, Ohio –Tark inc., a provider of high-quality pumps and cooling systems, hosted a ribbon cutting of its new facility on April 14, 2022.

Tark inc.’s new facility located on Byers Rd. in Miamisburg.

This is a move from its Congress Park Drive location in Washington Township to its new home on Byers Road in Miamisburg.

Tark was started in 1985 by Ferdie Lustwerk and Joe McCarthy. They met at MIT very early in their careers and discovered a need for heat transfer products to support the Computed Tomography and X-Ray markets. They developed cooling pumps that withstood the temperature and g-forces required to operate the equipment. The company has seen steady growth and is creating additional opportunities with new product lines for new markets in 2022.

The new facility is an increase to 50,735 square feet and will allow Tark to execute more G-Force testing.  The expansion also gives the company 20k in square foot for additional production space.

Tark employees over 70 people, with 40+ being housed in the Dayton facility. Tark is projecting a 22% sales increase since the last year, and this growth plus the new facility will mean up to 3 new positions opening up.

Tark inc. Founder Joe McCarthy and current owner/son Jim McCarthy shake hands after cutting the ribbon.

Today, Tark is owned by Jim McCarthy, son of founder, Joe McCarthy who still reports to work at the age of 92.

“Tark’s focus is on our customers, providing excellent service in solving their challenges with Innovation and Ease. Our new location allows Tark to explore additional ways to serve and we are all very excited for the future!” said Megan Bowman, Integrator/COO, Tark inc.

Attendees were able to receive tours of the new facility and see how the employees work to save lives every day.
