VICTORY PROJECT ANNOUNCED AS 2025 SOIN AWARD FOR COMMUNITY IMPACT FINANCIAL GIFT RECIPIENT

DAYTON, Ohio – The Victory Project has been selected by Henny Penny as the recipient of their $10,000 gift as this year’s recipient of the Soin Award for Community Impact. Victory Project is a privately funded 501(c)(3) after-school program that mentors disengaged young men in Dayton, OH, in grades 8-12.

Victory Project is open year-round, six days a week, and focuses on producing engaged, responsible and hard-working young men through its curriculum. Additionally, VIP, LLC, a micro business, provides young men with an opportunity to develop a strong work ethic and gain practical workforce experience.

The Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce announced Henny Penny as the Soin Award for Community Impact winner at their annual meeting earlier this year. Previously known as the Soin Award for Innovation, the Soin Award for Community Impact recognizes a private sector organization that has significantly transformed community development through impactful investments, visionary leadership and a steadfast commitment to the region.

With the generous support of chamber members, especially Soin LLC, the Rajesh K. Soin family and the Chamber’s Education and Public Improvement (EPI) Foundation, Henny Penny was awarded a financial gift $10,000 to provide to a local 501(c)(3) community charity of their choice.

“Receiving the Soin Award for Community Impact was a tremendous honor, but being able to pay it forward to a local organization makes it even more meaningful,” said Kevin Buchler, CEO of Henny Penny. “Victory Project’s mission to mentor and empower young men in our community really resonated with us. We are inspired by the positive impact they’re making and proud to support their efforts.”

The check presentation occurred on July 10 at the Victory Project location on Troy Street. Founder and CEO, Monnie Bush stated, “We are deeply thankful to Henny Penny, the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce and the Soin Family for their generous support. Their partnership fuels our mission to empower individuals and strengthen our community in Dayton. Together, we’re creating a lasting impact and hope for disengaged youth.”
