Dayton Area Chamber launches #HelloDayton

DAYTON, Ohio – The Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce will launch today the first of an eight video series dubbed #HelloDayton, aimed at highlighting the many positive things Dayton has to offer its residents.

The release, which will take place through the chamber and its partners’ Facebook and Twitter pages, will include short videos with themes like Cost of Living, Recreation, Transportation and Healthcare.

Throughout the release, social media followers will have opportunities to interact. The chamber encourages followers to share what they love about living in the Dayton region by commenting on the video posts. One lucky commenter will win a #HelloDayton t-shirt for each of the video releases.

The spark for the campaign came directly from Dayton Area Chamber business members, who have guided the chamber toward an emphasis on workforce development. The #HelloDayton video series will be available for use by human resources professionals and business leaders who are looking for a way to introduce new recruits to the Dayton region.

“We’re excited to provide a new way for businesses to roll out the welcome mat for those who’ve recently made the Dayton area their home, or to attract talented people who aren’t aware of the great things we have to offer here,” said Holly Allen, marketing & communications director, Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce.

The #HelloDayton videos social media release will wrap up in November 2017, but the videos will be available at DaytonChamber.org well into the future.

“Dayton has a lot to offer; so much so that we couldn’t fit it all into one video,” Allen said. “Where else can you bicycle along a scenic 75 mile route, take in a Broadway quality show, kayak through a vibrant metro area and learn about the history of brewing beer at a working museum?” Allen said. “To make this region even more enticing, you can make it to any of those attractions in less than 30 minutes from practically anywhere in the area, all while enjoying a low cost of living and the peace of mind knowing you have access to the best in education and healthcare. We have to tell that story.”
