Local university boosts innovation in Dayton

The chamber’s young professional organization, Generation Dayton, is exploring how Dayton fosters innovation in order to continue the growth of our community for years to come.

One of the biggest key players in fostering continued growth and improvement for local businesses while engaging the younger generation is the University of Dayton’s Innovation Center. The UD Innovation Center allows students to work on real-world challenges for more than 200 external clients in the Dayton area.

Focusing on engineering, the students work on a project basis to focus on customer needs and how to move real world projects closer to the marketplace. It doesn’t just stop there though, the UD Innovation Center partners with the School of Business to ensure these projects are fit for market and are feasible business solutions.

Generation Dayton’s Speaker Series is focused on exposing these young professionals to their community, and the ways others are working toward solutions to everyday problems.
