MBP Committed Buying Organizations

The Minority Business Partnership teams with Dayton region’s large buying organizations to help them keep more procurement spend local. More than 20 buying organizations have set a precedent of regional collaboration, leveraging the procurement spend they control to fuel economic growth with an emphasis on minority business development. These Committed Buying Organizations (CBOs) are willing to lead in supplier diversity as a business imperative and for the benefits it brings to their supply chains.

Organizations in the CBO group are likely to have some or all of the following attributes:

  • Major buying dollars
  • Diverse in what they buy
  • Major project planned
  • Hold influential position in the region
  • Have an existing supplier diversity initiative
